Playing with new fabrics

Hola,

This days I've finished my first infinity scarf I had pending since december when I received the fabric. It is the first time I sew knitt fabric and it's easier than I thought. The result is a warm infinity scarf for this days that we still have cold weather. I will have to continue to sew with this kind of fabrics.

This weekend I also made a brooche with felt, buttons and fabric. The result is a nice flower. It was a long time that I want to do brocohes and now that in one month spring will arrived is time to prepare brooches to wear with jacquets, blazers and so on.

I will continue withe the brooches for spring :-) and I hope sooner I will show you two projects that I'm preparing that are very funny, I'm enjoying a lot with them,

One year of creations!!

One year ago I began this blog in order to share my creations with all. When I thought about a blog I didn't imagine that I could write one year and I din't think either that I will grow with it. One year ago I began this blog in Spanish and English and my creations where only brooches and key-rings made with felt, I had no idea also I would buy a sewing machine and I will begin to sew bibs, buffs, cases... even school bags. This blog is growing with me and learning with me. In this album is all the evolution of this year. Although sometimes was difficult to find the time to write o create always I have tried to find the moment to disconnect and doing something and this is the way as I learnt little by little to sew, to know how use my sewing machine, to use different kind of fabrics and also to learn languages ;-),

After a year I will continue with this blog! I will continue to create and write all my little projects and sharing with you all this special moments, with all of people like me that spend free time to doing beautiful and personalized things.

I invite you also to continue with your projects, ideas, dreams...

Creating or, should I say, cooking? ;-)

These days I’ve been creating and designing new brooches and key-rings. I have a lot of ideas and a little time, although if you want you will achieve everything you propose. Ideas never occur when you’re chilling with nothing to do. They happen in the less expected moment and time, instead.

Once I’ve been touched by an idea, I look for a time to create, I leave it rest for a while and keep doing until the project becomes a reality.

Brooch and accessory creation could be seen as baking a cake. First, you have to select the ingredients, then mix them. Sometimes you have to leave them rest before putting them in the oven or when you remove them. Finally, after it has rested, you must give your personal touch before you serve it.

Here you’ll find two new creations. One is already in the oven, the other one is resting before baking. I also attach a picture of a cake I baked which has been the inspiration to this post.

And you… do you cook and let it rest? 

Most recent projects

I have been doing little things using different materials this February. A flower made using a jean jacket, which I don’t use anymore, and a kerchief given by a friend who doesn’t use it either. The result is a flower that you can wear on shirts’ lapels, coats or jackets, especially now that the weather is becoming warmer ;-).

I’ve already created a personalized key-ring and I have another one on the road…

My next goal is try to use new materials such as nespresso capsules, wire, etc.

Anything that can be recycled can be used to create new staff!!

Any suggestions on materials, shapes or creations are more than welcome.

Hello everyone,

First of all, I want to thank all those who have cheered me up these days. I’ve got some new creations thought, all of them personalized, of course.

From all presents we have received during our life, the ones we remember most are those who were actually devoted to someone. Who hasn’t got touched when receiving a handmade birthday card or a gift bought especially thinking of you. You’ll see that my creations are always varied, precisely because I made them by thinking on different people. In my opinion, brooches and key-rings are objects that really tell us about the person who is wearing them, as well as, any other accessories that we both, men and women, put on when dressing (earrings, scarves, wallets, …).

Here you’ll find some of the key-rings and brooches I have personalized this Christmas. In these weeks coming, I’ve already been ordered a customized key-ring, and I’m actually thinking of a brooch that may have an addressee.
If someone wishes to give a personalized gift we can talk about it. Same as if someone has a project in which I can put in my two cents.
